Cogratulations Jennifer and Chris

Early March I had the pleasure of coordinating Jennifer and Chris' big day at The Ebell Club of Long Beach. Their mix of sweet anemones and feathers was a beautiful combination to their beautiful spring wedding!

Stay tuned for more photos to come of this adorable pair! I will have to say I miss my clients every time...I miss these two dearly already :)

Emerald City 2013

The Littlest details right? Add emerald pizzazz to your invitation envelope inserts!
Want to tie in your Emerald Green theme? Go all out for your rehearsal dinner or even bridal shower.

I feel like we will see more color gowns for weddings...This is never extreme!
Angelina Jolie was caught wearing a replica of these beautiful teardrop earrings
I might just have to get this for myself!
Emerald green nails will surely pop along your gorgeous ivory gown! Be daring!
Here's another touch to add to your tablescape if there isn't much Emerald Green happening anywhere else
Bow pumps are my all-time favorites when you reveal these when you take your first step down the aisle!

Another earring option with a vintage twist
I've always been in love with this gown from "Antonement". I have yet to see a replica for a wedding, but hopefully 2013 just might be the year!
Hope everyone is having a wonderful time this holiday season!

XO, Yoleine

We're featured on RUFFLED!

I am so thrilled Yellow Bird Events was featured on Ruffled Blog just this past Wednesday!
When Ruffled approached me about working on a styled shoot with my favorite vendors, I was sold! I can pick my own vendors and come up with my own concept...you bet I was definately in!

I wanted to create an organic, but modern appeal to the shoot using bold colors and intricate patterns throughout. I'm always for patterns on patterns on patterns. There's no rule :)

I was inspired by a mirrored frame a saw hanging at Anthropologie (secret to my madness: I walk through stores for inspirations..anything that will get my mind chiseling!).

I'm all about backdrops, the bigger and more dramatic, the better. One thing I would like to conquer is making the backdrop featured bigger! Hold on to your horses kids!

In the meantime, enjoy the feature, I've posted a few pics below...but please head to Ruffled to see more and comment and love and PIN IT! Thank you to all of the vendors involved! You made this so magical <3 p="p">

Cake by Sweet & Saucy..they made this before I even made the backdrop!

The invites were one of my favorites!
Small mirrored backdrop for the dessert table

I love bold/rich colors! The blue literally blew me away!

Congratulations Anne Hathaway!

I've always been a fan of Anne Hathaway. She was always a young woman in Hollywood whom I've always loved how she carried herself.

So I was so excited to see that she married her love, jeweler, Adam Shulman! I hate blurry pictures, but this is all that was captured for now...but this wedding was on the D-L. Big secret, big wedding (approx. 180 guests).

Anne wore what looked like a very classic off-the shoulder Valentino gown. Her veil was the most dramatic being a very billowy and long veil! Gorgeous! Anne looked absolutely gorgeous! I'm sure Adam was floored when he saw his bride for the first time.

Congratulations to the newlyweds....now, waiting for the next secret wedding to be revealed...who do you think it'll be?

Caleb + Kristin {Real Wedding}

I can't wait to share more photos of them gem of a wedding! Kristin and Caleb were married in Camarillo at Maravilla Gardens. I had a wonderful time planning this classic vintage wedding with these two.

From the groomsmen's bowties and pom-poms thrown to begin the celebration, this wedding was a sweet, sweet dream!

Check out a few of the sneak peaks from Michelle Johnson Photography and don't forget to come back to see the rest!

One of my favorites! Love these two!

Mr. & Mrs. Scarth

Dallas + Michelle {Real Wedding}

Dallas and Michelle were married last weekend and boy was it a grand fete! These two are truly an amazing pair and it was wonderful to help them plan their September 8th event that was filled with a tugboat, Tennessee southern folk, and non-stop dancing. In the meantime, enjoy their personal photos by Jen Simon of Fondly Forever. Love, Love, LOVE!

Mr. & Mrs. Lynn

Congratulations to Mr. & Mrs. Lynn!

A Little Practice

It always happens, even for us professionals! We need to tie a tie for an important day! I've been asked a million times, "Is this on straight?". Sometimes it's on straight and other times it's er...but that's okay because that's what we're there for!

Need to learn how to tie a bow*tie, see below and give it a go :) If you're still having difficulties, we're still here for you!
