Kristin + Caleb: Inspiration Board

When Kristin and Caleb had their first meeting with me back in January. The first thing Kristin mentioned to me was that she wanted a vintage garden. She wanted the look a feel to be sweet. I had the pleasure of planning Kristin's sister's wedding last year, and was thrilled she wanted me to assist with her wedding as well! Luckily the style aesthetics were completely different! 

One of my favorite things to do is develop mood boards for my planning clients. Something they fully appreciate at the earlier stages of planning. 

Kristin and Caleb knew exactly what they wanted and what they didn't. It was my job to make the feel co-hesive and produce exactly what they had in mind. 

Kristin sent me tons of inspiration photos and ideas which also helped in condensing the board. Below is the turn out.

The two lovebirds were married this past weekend at Maravilla Gardens in Camarillo and boy was it a fun group!

Allison & Lowell Married

I love receiving wedding photos from my next weddings! Even though post-wedding day my feet are begging for a break, I love reliving the full day through photos! 

Check out Allison and Lowell's gorgeous wedding at Marvimon House in downtown LA! This LA/Texan-infused fete is hard to forget. From the signature Moscow Mules drinks served in copper mugs to the custom floating acrylic flower beds that hung over the dinner tables, this was a fete to definitely remember!

Thank You Kindly...

I just received a Thank You card from a friend that recently tied the knot. I will say this is the quickest Thank You card I have ever received (2 weeks to be exact!)...which I LOVE! 

When I used to work for the Bridal Registry at Bloomingdales, brides would always ask when was it the best time to send thank you cards for gifts received. In my opinion, I would routinely send them once a month just so your friends and loved ones knew you received that special something you've been vying after for you and your soon to be spouse. I know, once a month is nuts right?! Not if you're on top of it! I've seen spreadsheets of gifts received and boxes checked if a note has been sent out. Some as lengthy as 3 pages (single space!). So no excuses.

Believe me when I say, you don't want to have to do this when you have returned from your honeymoon, fully settled into your "married" home, and got back into your normal routine because by that time it'll be 5 years.

So create that gifts received folder on your desktop and have your hunny help you keep track of all of the goodies and gift certificates. Because someone dearly thought of you, so in return thank them in a timely manner.

Classic Malibu Styled Shoot

So much to update you all on! A featured photo shoot and 2 weddings have happened in the past month.

So we were featured on Wedding Chicks for our styled Classic Malibu shoot. Working at the venue was quite lovely. Beth, the site manager, was fantastic. Couples, if you want someone that's on top of it and very caring and fun, Beth is your main lady. She was so sweet to let us have access to this wonderful venue tucked in between the Malibu Mountains. Brian Leahy captured the sweetness of this shoot.

So many vendors were involved in this sweet shoot. Classic Party Rentals provided the beautiful chairs and tableware. La Tavola Linens is where I rented the linens for the table and Archive Vintage Rentals provided the beautiful bench I wanted to confiscate!

Kathy Chung from kgc design created the beautiful custom stationary. The "choose your meal" menus were my favorite! Wisteria Flower Shop dressed our table and bride and groom with beautiful blooms that were to die for.

Hannah & Eric- Nixon Library {sneak peek}

This past weekend was not only blazing hot, but it was also Hannah and Eric's big day! I met Hannah and Eric back in February and they were always so lovely to work with while we planned for their big day. 

Hannah and Eric chose The Richard Nixon Library Museum for their wedding reception and ceremony and boy is that venue beautiful! Everyone that walks through that venue always feels like they're walking through the White House and I agree (from what photos show me...I have yet to go to DC...I know....). With it's beautiful crystal chandeliers, rose garden, and 'COPTER, this venue is fabulous with a lot of history. 

Jen Roper captured the beautiful day and I'd like to share just a few with you until I receive the rest. Hope you enjoy and if you ever are in Orange County, tour the Museum, it's quite wonderful.

Engagament Shoot {Jen Roper}

I love what I do because my clients are so darn stinkin' adorable. Ok that's not the only reason. But I do love love when they share their engagement photos with me :)

Jen Roper catches the quirkiest and most loving moments which I love. Photos were captured at a venue Eric and Hannah scoped out for their wedding. My favorite is the one with the birds {huzzah}! 

Eric and Hannah will be getting married in April at the gorgeous Richard Nixon Library. I'm so thrilled to help them put their beautiful day together so they can sit back and relax and enjoy the show! So stay tuned for amazing-ness to happen!
